Event Designer Setup Guide

As a designer participating in an event using Blogotex, you'll receive a new dropbox when the setup period for a new event round begins. This guide will help you set up your dropbox and share your products with event bloggers. For demonstration purposes, we'll be using an event named TestEvent.

Setting Up a Dropbox

Search your inventory for the Blogotex Dropbox. If you can't find it, log into Blogotex, open the event and go to Devices. At the bottom of the page, click the Redeliver button to receive a new dropbox.

Rezz the dropbox and check the floating text. Typically, the dropbox will automatically assign itself to the event, displaying the event name and status as ACTIVE.

If you see this, you can skip the next step.

Manually Assigning the Dropbox to an Event

If the dropbox does not show your event name and status as ACTIVE in the floating text, follow these steps:

Note your dropbox ID, in our example: Z3MDALQX. Log into Blogotex by clicking the bottom part of your dropbox and choosing Log In. Open the event and go to Devices. You'll see a list of all your current and previous devices. Find the device matching the ID you wrote down, which should be marked as -- not linked --. Click the linking icon for that device.

A popup will appear. Select your event name (TestEvent) and click Link.

Your device should now be linked to the event, and you can proceed to the next step.

Adding Products to the Dropbox

Right-click your dropbox and select Edit. Drag your products from your inventory into the dropbox's content.

IMPORTANT: Pack multi-item products into a single box so that each product equals one box.

You can also link a demo to the product, allowing bloggers to try it before committing to blogging it. To link a product and its demo, use the product's name. Simply add DEMO before or after the product name. For example, MyProduct refers to the full product, while MyProduct DEMO or DEMO MyProduct will be recognized by the system and linked as a demo version of your product.

Next, log into Blogotex and go to the Products section:

1. Click on the Devices icon.
2. The Inventory Devices pane will open.
3. Ensure your device is selected.
4. Choose whether to share your products with other designers.
5. Click the Update Product List button.
6. Your products will now appear, allowing you to edit each one, add photos, fill in descriptions, and specify categories.

Product Stats

As bloggers start featuring your products, you can view accepted posts under the Posts section. In the Products section, above each product, you'll see Activity: X, indicating the number of posts for that product. Clicking the number will show you all the posts featuring that product.
